Prof. Hossein Hassanian-Moghaddam

President, Asia-Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology

Professor Hossein Hassanian-Moghaddam, MD, FACMT, has been a clinical toxicologist for almost 25 years. Working in the biggest hospital dedicated to poisoning cases enabled him to visit between 24000 and 27000 poisoned patients annually, of whom approximately 10000–12000 were hospitalized. Chemical exposures, Toxic alcohols, poisoning and substance use are his every-day practice, which are reflected in more than 300 published English abstract and article in the scientific journals and international congresses.

According to October 2023 “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” reported by Stanford University and Elsevier publisher, he is awarded as above top 2% percentile rank of sub-field scientists in the world. Currently, he is acting as the President of Asia-Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology.
