Dr. Erika Havelka is an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician with a diverse background in
medical education, clinical practice, and administrative roles. She holds a Doctor of Medicine
degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science from
Benedictine University. Prior to becoming a physician, Dr Havelka was an emergency department
registered nurse for several years.
Dr. Havelka completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Advocate Christ Medical and
Trauma Center, as Chief Resident. She is currently an Attending Emergency Medicine Physician
with Illinois Emergency Medicine Specialist, at multiple University of Chicago Medicine/Advent
health Hospitals.
Dr. Havelka is actively involved in several clinical, administrative and volunteer activities within the
field of emergency medicine at home and internationally.
