Dr. Dorothy Atieno Aywak Aloyo
Dr. Dorothy Aywak is a Pharmacoepidemiologist with over 15 years of hospital pharmacy experience. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Master of Pharmacy- Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance from University of Nairobi. Dorothy is also a member of various professional associations that include Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) , International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISOP) and International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). She currently also serves as the Secretary of Hospital Pharmacist Association of Kenya (HOPAK)
Dorothy has been working at the Kenyatta National Hospital since 2005, where she held different management roles. Since 2021 she has been serving as the Head of Unit- Pharmacovigilance, Poison and Drug Information where is responsible for the operationalization of the Medicine and Poison Information Centre that caters for the country.
Dorothy wears many hearts one being as a teacher and mentor and participates in coordinating training and performance management activities within the hospital and also as part of the wider healthcare ecosystem.
