
Dr. Waleed Salem
Dr. Waleed Salem is a distinguished Emergency Medicine specialist with a focus on Medical Toxicology and Education. He holds an MBBS from Sanaa University, Yemen, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Toxicology from Cardiff University, UK. He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Toxicology and board-certified by the Arab Board in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Waleed completed his fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, where he has worked since 2007, rising from Resident to Consultant.
Dr. Waleed holds leadership roles including Assistant Chief of Service at Al Khor General Hospital and Assistant Chief of the Medical Toxicology Division. He is a member of various committees and organizations like MENATOX. Currently, he is the Program Director of the Medical Toxicology Fellowship and Core Faculty of Emergency Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation, and a faculty member at Qatar University, focusing on teaching and research. His career blends clinical expertise, education, and leadership in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Toxicology.
