Heba Abdou Mariey is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in Security Governance, Peace and Security, Transnational Organized Crimes, and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) Risk Mitigation. Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, she serves as the GCC Regional Coordinator and Program Management Officer at UNICRI, where she has been instrumental in advancing the CBRN Risk Mitigation and Security Governance Program since 2020.

In her role, Heba works closely with GCC member states to strengthen CBRN governance frameworks, enhance preparedness, and build national and regional capacities to prevent and respond to CBRN threats. Her leadership and expertise have significantly contributed to fostering regional cooperation and resilience against complex security challenges, aligning with the UN’s mission to promote global peace and security.
