Dr. Nafila Al Riyami is a distinguished Senior Consultant Chemical Pathologist and Clinical Biochemist at the Clinical Biochemistry Department of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (University Medical City) in Oman. She currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Department and the Associate Program Director for the Clinical Biochemistry Training Program under the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB).

An accomplished academician, Dr. Al Riyami is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CoMHS) at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital. Her dedication to advancing knowledge is reflected in her robust clinical research portfolio, where she has served as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and Co-Investigator on numerous funded and unfunded research projects.

In her leadership roles, Dr. Al Riyami chairs the hospital-wide Point of Care Testing (POCT) Committee and is the POCT Accreditation Canada International (ACI) leader, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. She also heads the Clinical Toxicology Section within the Biochemistry Laboratory at SQUH, playing a pivotal role in the advancement of clinical toxicology and biochemistry in Oman.

With her expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence, Dr. Nafila Al Riyami continues to contribute significantly to the fields of chemical pathology, biochemistry, and toxicology in both clinical and academic settings.
