Dr. Suad Alabri

Senior Consultant Emergency Physician and Medical Toxicologist, Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman

Dr. Suad Al Abri is a Senior Consultant Emergency Physician and Medical Toxicologist at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) in Muscat, Oman, a role she has held since 2014. She is also in charge of the medical toxicology service at SQUH. Dr. Al Abri completed her medical toxicology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, USA, from July 2012 to July 2014. She holds multiple board certifications, including the Arab Board in Emergency Medicine (Dec 2010), Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) Emergency Medicine (2010), and Saudi Board in Emergency Medicine (Nov 2010).

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Al Abri serves as the Medical Director of the Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS) at the Muscat Oman Medical Simulation Center. She is also a certified instructor for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Al Abri is highly active in the academic and training aspects of emergency medicine. She has chaired and organized multiple national and international conferences and workshops. As a member of the education committee of the emergency medicine residency program at OMSB, she plays a pivotal role in training medical students and emergency medicine residents. Her commitment to research and publications in toxicology and emergency medicine is notable. In 2022, she was appointed as the fellowship program project manager at SQUH, further highlighting her leadership and expertise in her field.
